Eclectic and Colorful Mother’s Day Party Ideas

Bright and bold, full of sunny colors and vibrant accents, this week’s party idea board is the perfect eclectic mix to celebrate mother’s day this year. Mixed florals and textures combine to create this color heavy summery party inspiration board while still looking cohesive and put together.

The balance is in the black and white accents you see here and there. The white table highlights the bright floral centerpieces, while a black and white background helps amplify the fresh flowers in their summer shades. The flat black and white elements really work well together to help make the mix of textures and colors stand out.

Of course I think this week’s party idea board is fantastic for any mother’s day celebration, but why stop there? I could easily see this design translated into a birthday party, a fun summer wedding theme, or even a women’s luncheon.

Do I have any golfers here? How about anyone who needs a father’s day party idea? You’re going to want to pin this week’s party idea board for future reference!

This week’s party idea board is more of a partee than a party! With father’s day around the corner, it’s time to start planning something special for the special guy in your life. Now you know I love a good themed event, but I’m a sucker for unconventional materials, and you know there’s nothing more un-traditional for event décor then golf balls and AstroTurf.

Rustic Sunflower and Navy Country Sunset Reception

“Never look directly at the sun. Instead, look at the sunflower.” This quote resonates seamlessly with this week’s wedding and party idea board. Picture a rustic country soiree, with lots of lanterns filled with candles, and vibrant sunflowers everywhere you look. Hints of navy help balance out the bright yellows in the sunflowers, and add pops of color to the rustic elements.

I’d love to see this summer celebration take place outside on a beautiful country property, perhaps with rolling hills and a vintage barn a little off in the distance.  If you felt so compelled to, this party idea board could easily transform into a rustic country wedding filled with the same sunflowers and navy blue elements. A natural branch altar adorned with sunflowers and navy ribbons would be all you need to add. And I’ll be the first to say I’m not normally one to choose country anything, but sunflowers have always been a favorite of mine. They have such a happy energy that they seem to radiate out, naturally making them the perfect flower to be at the center of this event design. I can only imagine what the ambiance would be like after the sun sets, as the candles are all flickering and enhancing the glow of the sunflowers that are everywhere you look. I bet it would be magical!

Jungle Animal Print Celebration – Themed Party Ideas

I’m not sure what the most appropriate greeting for this jungle themed animal print party would be: rawr or meow. Either one could work, but I’m going to go with rawr!

Rawr! Welcome to my jungle animal print inspired party idea board.  This animal print party inspiration board is all about incorporating animal print in a more classy and modern way. I like to think there is no gimmicky jungle props involved here. And there’s no plastic animal props here either!

When I was putting this party idea board together, I was envisioning a soiree for one of three events: a ladies luncheon, a birthday party for the modern woman, or a super sophisticated baby shower. The tropical hints found in the green foliage help balance out the mixed animal prints…..and help make this a perfect theme for a summer soiree!

Things needed for a fun movie night:

  4. Twinkling stars

Yup. That about covers everything you’ll need for this backyard movie party under the stars! It’s hard to believe that the summer is already winding down, the kids are going back to school, and in parts of the country- the leaves are already starting to change ever so slightly.

This week’s party idea board is one of the simplest, but probably one of the most fun boards I’ve put together. Host this party for your friends and family, or have the kids have a sleepover and enjoy a good Transformers marathon. Any way you host this party, everyone is bound to have a great time. Be sure to have plenty of cozy blankets and pillows nearby, and it will be a hit!

This week I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I sat down to make this week’s party idea board. I wanted something that would be fun for kids, boys and girls, and would be a hit this summer. I came up with the idea of having a mer-people (that’s mermaids and mermen) inspired party.
