Feminine Soiree in Blush and White – Event Decor Ideas

It’s the simple things sometimes that make events great. A good color combination. A fantastic live band. Amazing food served to perfection. I often think that it’s the event decor and concept behind the event that makes it not just memorable, but enjoyable.

Now I’m not saying you have to go all out themed to the max or anything. But a little thought and a little planning go a long way, For example, a few weeks ago I shared this sophisticated blush and gold decor ideas board, perfect for any number of events. It’s traditional, elegant, sophisticated. It looks like it is a higher end event, not because of the blush pink, white, and gold. No, it looks so refined because of the strategic use of items and shapes combined.

Using those same colors: blush pink, white, and gold- I am able to create many feels to an event. For example, the board below is the same color combination, but with a modern flair, with an emphasis on feminine softness to it. Here’s what I had in mind for this take on a feminine soiree in blush and white:

Mechanic’s Car Garage Party Ideas

Vroom vroom! Doesn’t it feel like this year is racing by? I swear not too long ago I was thinking, “Oh, I have PLENTY of time to prepare for Mother’s Day.” Boy was I wrong. Before I know it Father’s Day will be on us, and I thought it would be in my best interest to start brainstorming ideas for the perfect party for any special guy in your life.

This week I thought I would take our party ideas mood board and channel a home mechanics car garage as party inspiration. Of course, I think this would be great for Dad’s birthday party, or even Father’s Day, but it’s got a lot of potential for different uses.  Channeling the more casual home garage vibe in this party inspiration board, it allows the environment to be much more relaxed, perfect for an afternoon BBQ or even translate into an evening soiree with a few friends and family.

Here’s what I had in mind for a mechanic’s car garage party ideas board:

Ice Queen Inspired Winter Wedding

Do you find yourself getting all warm and fuzzy on the inside when you think of the coldest days of winter? Are you at your happiest spot on the icy, cold days when there is barely any sun to note? Or maybe you are just a fan of Frozen, and have your heart set on an icy, winter themed wedding.

If any of those ring true to you, or even if you are a bespoke bride who loves pushing the boundaries, you are going to love this week’s wedding idea board.

Channeling my inner Ice Queen love, I scoured the internet for some of the top ideas for an icy winter wedding. This wasn’t just any celebration, oh no. I’ve shared my take on a frozen icicle holiday party before. This wedding inspiration board had to be fit for the ice queen herself. A complete vision of venue, ice sculptures, frosted icicle accents, and of course: a massive ice bar.

After days of searching for the perfect images of what I was envisioning, I have created this Ice Queen inspired winter wedding ideas board for your viewing pleasure:

Once Upon a Time Storybook Gala Ideas

It’s getting to be that time of the year again….fundraisers, holiday galas, office parties….invites are starting to flow! With so many celebrations going on, it’s easy for guests to get bored with seeing the same festive looks, or “night in New York” themes. It’s time to suggest something new to the committee! Why not host a once upon a time storybook gala? It’s nothing too modern, so it suits all ages, but it’s whimsical enough to be appropriate for guests of all ages. With the emphasis on incorporating storybooks into this gala concept, the décor focus shifts from a specific storybook theme, to transporting guests to space where any of their favorite storybook can come to life right off the shelf.

Here’s what I had in mind for this once upon a time storybook gala:

Asian Infused Wedding in Red

It’s not too often I find myself designing concept boards based specifically around a cultural theme, but this week I was overwhelmingly inspired by the tablescape you’ll see below. The red and gold paper lanterns with an array of fresh flowers on the table caught my eye. After more digging into similar looks, I found myself disappointed in the number of higher end weddings that incorporated these beautiful red paper lanterns. With that in mind I challenged myself to create this Asian influenced wedding in red, featuring beautiful paper lanterns that looked luxurious and opulent, and less crafty.

Here’s what I created for this week’s Asian inspired wedding in red:

Mermaid + Merman Under the Sea Summer Party

This week I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I sat down to make this week’s party idea board. I wanted something that would be fun for kids, boys and girls, and would be a hit this summer. I came up with the idea of having a mer-people (that’s mermaids and mermen) inspired party. Naturally, it would be fantastic if this was based around a beach location, but I think a pool party would be just as fun.

Here’s what I had in mind:

Sugary Sweet Pastels + Jelly Beans – Baby Shower Ideas

Ahhhhh yes. The smell of sugar.

You know what I’m talking about. At some point in your life you’ve opened up a bag of your favorite sweet treat and inhaled the sugary scent that was released. And you totally loved it. I would go so far as to say you even had a smile on your face after.

A lot of mommy-to-be ladies out there share a similar smile, for obviously more legitimate reasons – I mean they are making a tiny human after all – but they still are happy and smiling and full of positivity.

Those emotions are what sparked the inspiration for this sugary sweet baby shower inspiration board. Here’s what I had in mind:

Pastels and Jewels – Girly Birthday Party Ideas

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you celebrated today with a little wine Wednesday action this evening. I did! This week’s inspiration board is actually inspired by Megan Trainor’s video “All About That Bass”. It’s such an adorable color scheme, wouldn’t you agree?

For this week I wanted to do a girly birthday party inspiration board. Sometimes a girl just wants to throw a cute party!

Lime and Turquoise Spring Luncheon

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am so excited to share with you this vibrant inspiration board. I was channeling bright and bold colors, but wanted the softness of a spring function. After a bit of brainstorming, I came up with a luncheon in turquoise and lime, with hints of paisley. Here’s what I had in mind:

What are your favorite colors for spring?

Navy, Mint, Peach + Gold Bridal Shower

Hello!

This week is all about colors! Not just bright and bold, but those sought after spring tones. I’m lucky to not have any sort of serious winter season here in Florida, but still appreciate spring themed parties. We tend to enjoy the few days out of the year it is not excessively hot and humid out.

This week I’m introducing you to a navy, mint and peach bridal shower, with the slightest hint of gold mixed in.

I really think the navy with a touch of gold helps welcome the fresh mint and peach tones into this inspiration board theme. I’m loving this color scheme as a baby shower, or bridal shower, but really think it could be used in a ton of functions. Hellloooo ladies luncheon!

Here’s what I’m thinking:
