Feminine Soiree in Blush and White – Event Decor Ideas

It’s the simple things sometimes that make events great. A good color combination. A fantastic live band. Amazing food served to perfection. I often think that it’s the event decor and concept behind the event that makes it not just memorable, but enjoyable.

Now I’m not saying you have to go all out themed to the max or anything. But a little thought and a little planning go a long way, For example, a few weeks ago I shared this sophisticated blush and gold decor ideas board, perfect for any number of events. It’s traditional, elegant, sophisticated. It looks like it is a higher end event, not because of the blush pink, white, and gold. No, it looks so refined because of the strategic use of items and shapes combined.

Using those same colors: blush pink, white, and gold- I am able to create many feels to an event. For example, the board below is the same color combination, but with a modern flair, with an emphasis on feminine softness to it. Sophisticated Blush, Gold, and White Gala with Crystal Accents

What comes to mind with you think “black tie gala”? Is it the gowns, the champagne, or the socializing? Do you ever think of associating the color blush in a fundraiser or gala setting?

It’s easy to disassociate the two, as blush is a popular choice for weddings year round; however I think it’s worth exploring that soft shade of pink in the gala setting. Used sparingly and carefully, blush can add a sense of life and freshness into an environment that is often a little stiff. Below I’ve curated a few of my favorite inspiration pictures that I believe would be a great start to a sophisticated blush, gold, and white gala with crystal accents. The crystal chandeliers and candelabras make the event so refined, but it’s the subtle blush napkins or rose accents that help soften this design. Where I think this concept really shines is its ability to translate into an after party space or lounge on the lawn. The greenery in the grass only enhances the neutral color palette, enhancing the look further.

Would this look work for any fundraiser or gala? Certainly not! But for the right group with a focus on appealing to its female guests, this ideas board could be the perfect beginning to a lovely and elegant evening. Here’s what I had in mind:

Summertime Unicorn Piñata Party

Higher temperatures = more outdoor parties!

While the temperatures are rising to meet their summer highs, so does the number of amazing outdoor party themes you have the option to choose from when getting ready for your next soiree. And what kid doesn’t love a fun party in the backyard over the weekend?

This week’s party idea board is a summertime unicorn piñata party, filled with pinatas of all sizes, and of course: the classic unicorn rainbow. I love the layered texture the pinatas naturally bring, but layering rainbows of colors just makes it that much more fun. It goes without saying, that plenty of colorful candy, treats, decorations, and drinks are a must for a successful unicorn party. I often think that a unicorn party is a lot like throwing a candy party, but with more of a whimsical and make believe element to it.

Quick tip: as the summer continues to heat up, I suggest going with warmer, more vibrant hues when selecting your unicorn piñata party decor.

Enchanted Fairy Garden Party Ideas

I would like to have an enchanted fairy garden party. As an adult.

There, I said it.

There is something so fantastically magical about a garden filled with little fairies and butterflies floating around, with toadstool mushrooms and gnomes hidden here and there. With all of the seriousness that being a good grown up involves, I think a nice dose of whimsy should be a prescribed stress reliever.  Something fun, and out of the ordinary. In the case of our enchanted fairy garden party, an outdoor setting doused in plenty of greenery will do the trick.

Of course, in the great party idea bank– also known as Pinterest – there are so many amazing ideas to choose from. Gold Glitter and Pastel Shades Unicorn Birthday Party Ideas

The cuteness! It’s taking over Pinterest. Unicorns are EVERYWHERE, like an adorable plague of happiness and glitter. And to be honest, I’m not even mad! While we are being honest, I’m not even a super unicorn fan. I mean, I don’t HATE unicorns, no, but I was never like “OH MY GOSH UNICORN EVERYTHING”. But the idea of having a young child’s birthday with a full on, unicorn-fever theme….sounds like something I want to be part of.

Now me being me, I like a bit of bling at my events, thus the gold glitter element of this kid’s birthday party decor. Spectacularly shiny, gold glitter unicorns are found in each element, from the invitation, to unicorn party games, to the cake and dessert display, to even the goodie bags and photo backdrop. Cohesion is what it’s all about!

To balance out all that sparkles and shines, the rainbow colors are all along the pastel shades family, so as to not fight with the sparkling gold glitter unicorns. From what I can tell, based on my extensive unicorn party pinning, (check out my unicorn board on Pinterest if you need more ideas for a unicorn party!), an abundance of rainbows are a must for proper unicorn party, birthday or otherwise. Choosing which shade directions, warm or cool, you choose to go can greatly influence the feel of the event, so be sure to have a clear idea of your event mood before you start your shopping!

As we find ourselves in that final stretch before Christmas madness takes over, it’s important to remember that all of the stress we put on ourselves during the holiday season is not as significant as who is around us. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and forget that all these get togethers and parties are there for us to connect with our friends and family, not to show off or one-up someone’s pumpkin pie. With that mindset at the forefront of your thoughts, allow me to present to you the concept and idea for this week’s Thanksgiving decor idea board.

For this week’s theme, I choose to create a calming but welcoming effect with this modern and clean styling Thanksgiving decor. Maroon and turquoise blue are the heroes of this color palette, with crisp whites and silvery greys accent in the background, merging with the inevitable orange hues of natural autumn decor. Creating such a warm and inviting environment for you and your guests to share can help foster a relaxed and more intimate visit, with the focus on each others company, and not overwhelming decor. Happy National Watermelon Day! August 3rd marks National Watermelon Day each year, did you know that? It’s ok if you didn’t, neither did I. When I found out about it, I was instantly inspired to create the perfect summertime watermelon party idea board for you this week. Whether it’s for a kid’s birthday party, or a backyard BBQ with friends and family, you can’t go wrong with a watermelon theme. The cool, watercolor hues of a natural watermelon are easy on the eyes during the heat of the summer, while the refreshing fruit and juices of the watermelon itself are delicious to consume in a host of different ways.

Bright and bold, full of sunny colors and vibrant accents, this week’s party idea board is the perfect eclectic mix to celebrate mother’s day this year. Mixed florals and textures combine to create this color heavy summery party inspiration board while still looking cohesive and put together.

The balance is in the black and white accents you see here and there. The white table highlights the bright floral centerpieces, while a black and white background helps amplify the fresh flowers in their summer shades. The flat black and white elements really work well together to help make the mix of textures and colors stand out.

Colorful Dinosaur Party Ideas for Girls

Girls like dinosaurs too!

I never got why boys were always the ones having the dinosaur and ninja themed parties, and girls always had to have the spa or princess themed parties. That is just absurd! Girls can like dinosaurs, ninjas, and event racing themed parties too.

And so to honor the strong, confident girls around the world who want to celebrate among dinos, I have put together this week’s inspiration board, for them. The concept was to have a colorful dinosaur birthday party for girls, which was not completely pink, purple and full of gentility.

But you know what I found? It’s actually pretty hard to find dinosaur themed birthday party posts for girls that are not full of princess crowns, tutus, and bright pink. So I thought I would incorporate lots of vibrant colors throughout to make this event perfect for the dino loving little girl that could care less about a tiara and a doesn’t mind what color her dinosaur friends are.

Pink Carnation Inspired Spring Soiree – Party Ideas

Does it feel like spring near you, or is it starting to feel more like summer? This week we have been in the mid 80’s all week, and we are already having to run our AC. I’m trying SO hard not to get into “summer clothes” mode so early in the year, but it is hard with this weather!

So to help me try and cherish whatever spring we have left here in Florida, I’ve put together an adorable pink carnation party idea board. This soiree can be used for any get together you have coming up. I’m thinking baby showers, a bridal party, or even a birthday party with the girls. Carnations are such a versatile flower, and hold up very well. The sphere arrangements you see throughout the party inspiration board give this idea board a more modern vibe, don’t you think?
