Don’t you just love a cozy outdoor wedding? I wish we had a proper “autumn” season here in Florida so I could plan weddings like this. I’m envisioning beautiful red, yellow and orange roses with lots of vibrant hues from fall leaves scattered on the floor. Warm blankets for guests make an extra special touch that they are sure to appreciate. After the ceremony is over, everyone heads inside to celebrate the reception in a lavishly decorated room, with elegant chair covers, floral arrangements and warm up lighting around the perimeter of the room.

Happy Wednesday!

Today I’ve got a fun party idea board to share with you. I originally envisioned a fall birthday party for kids, but I think a lot of these elements would be great at a school carnival or neighborhood block party. Between the cute pumpkin cupcakes to the pumpkin bowl games, kids could have a lot of fun just running around and enjoying the beautiful weather outside! Afterschool Midweek Treat – Candy Corn Themed

Happy October! And a happy Wednesday! It’s really a double treat today- it’s hump day (Friday is so close!) AND it’s the start of Fall, as far as I’m concerned.

So it turns out tomorrow, September 25^th, is National Comic Book Day! Who knew? I didn’t know they had this holiday, but apparently it’s been around for a while. Did you know it was an official day?

Seaside Summer Birthday Party

As we get closer to ending the summer season, I thought it would be nice to share some final inspiration boards that would be perfect for summer. This week I was envisioning a birthday party (though I was torn between turning this into an anniversary party!) around sunset by the sea. The waves are crashing as the sun is setting. Golden Summer Wedding

To me, no color combination is as timeless and elegant as dark green and rich gold. The two go effortlessly well together, and look chic and perfect for any celebration – any time of the year. In the summer, when the greens have those deep shades to their leaves, and they have grown in nice and full with all of the rain from summer showers- that is when an outdoor wedding with these colors would be PERFECT!

I love the idea of a lush green outdoor wedding, with hints of crisp whites and bright golds. This sophisticated color scheme is a classic; you really can’t go wrong with it. Here’s what I had in mind:

Elegant Paper Crane Wedding Ideas

Welcome back!

Today’s inspiration channels classic wedding elements with a modern and elegant touch. I was inspired by the “1000 paper crane” traditions, and loved reading about them on Pinterest. As I was reading about it, I thought it would be such a fun theme for a summer wedding.

I see this wedding being outside, with paper cranes hanging everywhere- so when the breeze rolls in you see them flying in the wind. A neutral color palette is ideal, especially if in a lush green lawn. The bright crisp whites and nudes will really pop against the natural surroundings. Here’s what I had in mind:

Outdoor Summer Wedding in Shades of Purple

If I see another “rustic burlap” wedding tutorial I may just give up going on Pinterest.

Hahaha, that’s a lie. I’m addicted to Pinterest. I can never give that up.

But in all seriousness, the “rustic burlap” wedding trend bores me. I don’t respond positively to brown (or tan, if that’s what it is) mesh-y material just to get that country vibe.

When I think country, I think fresh produce, beautiful wild flowers, good food, and comfortable with curtains blowing in the breeze. And I think that country can be done well. Beautifully even. It could look delicate and put together, and not look hodgepodge and craft time gone wrong. That’s the inspiration for this week’s wedding idea board. A simply beautiful country wedding.

Today I’ve got a fun gender reveal party theme to share with you! It’s based around confetti. I’m a huge fan of confetti because it is so versatile.
