Pastels and Jewels – Girly Birthday Party Ideas

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you celebrated today with a little wine Wednesday action this evening. I did! This week’s inspiration board is actually inspired by Megan Trainor’s video “All About That Bass”. It’s such an adorable color scheme, wouldn’t you agree?

For this week I wanted to do a girly birthday party inspiration board. Sometimes a girl just wants to throw a cute party!

Lime and Turquoise Spring Luncheon

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am so excited to share with you this vibrant inspiration board. I was channeling bright and bold colors, but wanted the softness of a spring function. After a bit of brainstorming, I came up with a luncheon in turquoise and lime, with hints of paisley. Here’s what I had in mind:

Lingerie Shower in Mint and Gold

Breathe in……breath out!

I always find a nice big breath of fresh air to be so relaxing. And there is something so refreshing and relaxing about mint and gold. That combination is always so fresh to me. This week I used that color combo as the inspiration for this lingerie bridal shower. I love the accents of chevrons and cleverly used polka dots. Here’s what I had in mind:

Navy, Mint, Peach + Gold Bridal Shower

Hello!

This week is all about colors! Not just bright and bold, but those sought after spring tones. I’m lucky to not have any sort of serious winter season here in Florida, but still appreciate spring themed parties. We tend to enjoy the few days out of the year it is not excessively hot and humid out.

This week I’m introducing you to a navy, mint and peach bridal shower, with the slightest hint of gold mixed in.

I really think the navy with a touch of gold helps welcome the fresh mint and peach tones into this inspiration board theme. I’m loving this color scheme as a baby shower, or bridal shower, but really think it could be used in a ton of functions. Hellloooo ladies luncheon!

Here’s what I’m thinking:

A Wedding in Red Velvet

Happy New Year!

I hope 2015 is off to a brilliant start for you! To start this year off with quite the bang, I’ve put together a dashing wedding – in red! Red velvet to be precise. This theme would be spectacular for wintery wedding, without going into the Santa’s velvet coat avenue. No, this is a muuuccch darker red, with a more sultry vibe about it. Fabulous for a wedding, but I think any gala or fundraiser could do well with this theme too.

Black, White, Green and ICE! – Wedding Anniversary Ideas

Yup- you read correctly: black, white, green and ice!

Picture this: it’s a decade or two from now. You’ve been with your other half for ages. You are surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. You want to throw a fabulous wedding anniversary. But it’s winter, and everything is red, green and gold. You want something modern, but elegant. You want something chic, dramatic…. You want WOW!

Go with a black, white and green (and ice!) color theme! It is modern, can be done easily, and is incredibly chic. This anniversary is going to be like no others. You’re having a specialty tent erected, custom ice sculptures crafted, luxurious linens delivered, and the best caterer in town.

Here’s what I’m envisioning for you, beyond that white carpet entrance:

I LOVE the ice element, don’t you? It just has so much impact! What I really love about this theme is its versatility. While I originally planned this inspiration board for a wedding anniversary, it would work just as well for a wedding, a holiday party, or a gala fundraiser. The sky is the limit with this design!

Fill in the blank: Black, White and ………? (What color would you choose?)

Christmas Cookie Decorating Party

I know TECHNICALLY Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and I should probably do one last “fall” inspired inspiration board. But you know what? I don’t feel like it. I’m ready to dive into Christmas! That and I am not a huge fan of autumn (mostly out of never having experienced it) and today is an abnormally cold day for us here in Florida. And by cold I mean it’s 65 out. That’s cold for us, don’t be jealous!

Now that we are past that, and we have both come to terms that it’s pretty much been all about Christmas in the US since, November 1 (you know it has!), what better way to REALLY dive into the season then by decorating cookies? Cookies + Sprinkles + Eggnog = a good time. Add some friends, some Christmas classics on the radio and you will be having a great time.

This would also be a fun theme for a kid’s birthday party that happens to fall close to the holidays. I know if my birthday was around this time of the year I’d want to do this with all my friends. Though, I also think a snowman building party would be a blast too.

Let’s get to it, here’s what I’m thinking:

Beads and Lace – A Glamorous Vintage Wedding Inspiration Board

I don’t know what it is, but I am totally in such a vintage mode lately! This week I just kept feeling like I need to do an inspiration board that was for the classy couple that loves that refined, vintage vibe. For this week’s inspiration board, I’m focusing on ornate beading, with light floral and lace accents, and a neutral but sophisticated color palette. Here’s what I had in mind:
