Lingerie Shower in Mint and Gold

Breathe in……breath out!

I always find a nice big breath of fresh air to be so relaxing. And there is something so refreshing and relaxing about mint and gold. That combination is always so fresh to me. This week I used that color combo as the inspiration for this lingerie bridal shower. I love the accents of chevrons and cleverly used polka dots. Here’s what I had in mind:

Navy, Mint, Peach + Gold Bridal Shower

Hello!

This week is all about colors! Not just bright and bold, but those sought after spring tones. I’m lucky to not have any sort of serious winter season here in Florida, but still appreciate spring themed parties. We tend to enjoy the few days out of the year it is not excessively hot and humid out.

This week I’m introducing you to a navy, mint and peach bridal shower, with the slightest hint of gold mixed in.

I really think the navy with a touch of gold helps welcome the fresh mint and peach tones into this inspiration board theme. I’m loving this color scheme as a baby shower, or bridal shower, but really think it could be used in a ton of functions. Hellloooo ladies luncheon!

Star Bright New Year’s Eve Party Ideas

Cheers!

In just a few hours we will be ringing in the New Year: 2015. Can you believe it?

2014 has flown by!

This week I’ve put together an inspiration board sure to delight: a star themed New Year’s Ever party! This is going to be great inspiration for someone hosting a medium sized get together at their house, you know, with a dozen or two of their friends, some champagne in the fridge and the music playing in the background getting everyone ready to dance and excited for the New Year. Hints of black and gold stars bring together all of the elements in this party.

Christmas Eve Cookies and Milk Party Ideas

Hello! And Merry Christmas! As Christmas Eve is drawing nearer to completion, and everyone is getting snuggled up in their comfiest of PJs, why not gather the family together and have a little midnight par-tay? Ok, maybe not AT midnight, but late night, when it is dark, and cold out and it’s about “that time” to get everyone to bed.

What if you had a little family PJ party, with some warm milk and a few cookies? A few cookies mind you – you’ve gotta leave some for Santa! This would be such a fun bonding opportunity for your family or just your other half, and a great new tradition. You don’t even have to open presents. Just get some cookies, your PJs and sit around the lit tree with all the other lights off. It’s a pretty magical moment. Plus, you can get some uber cute pictures of the little ones!

Here’s what I had in mind: (and yes – paper plates and small servings are PERFECT for this last minute get together!)

Holiday Cookie Exchange Party Ideas

Nom nom nom – COOKIES!

I’ve had cookies on the mind. I think it’s because a few weeks ago I shared an inspiration board for hosting a cookie decorating party. And I really think that it is a fun seasonal activity that kids (and adults!) can enjoy. Since that post I have been thinking about how fun it would be if you could host a holiday cookie exchange party. Maybe get all your neighbors together, or do this instead of a holiday office party. It would be fun, and way more interesting – ESPECIALLY if you tell people it is a competition. People get SUPER competitive…before you know it, people will be quoting the recipe from some top chef they spent hours perfecting, possibly arguing over who’s frosting is better. I can just see it now: everyone hyped up from all the sugar, possibly too many holiday cocktails, then the scoring begins…..oh what a night.

See what I’m talking about? There must be something about cookies. Here’s what I had in mind- and yes, I went on that sugar plum meets ginger bread land route. I think it’s appropriate, don’t you?

See- all you really need for this party is some friends, some festive decorations, and a batch or two of cookies on a table. Easy as pie!

If you could only eat ONE Christmas cookie a year- what would you choose to have this year?

Christmas Cookie Decorating Party

I know TECHNICALLY Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and I should probably do one last “fall” inspired inspiration board. But you know what? I don’t feel like it. I’m ready to dive into Christmas! That and I am not a huge fan of autumn (mostly out of never having experienced it) and today is an abnormally cold day for us here in Florida. And by cold I mean it’s 65 out. That’s cold for us, don’t be jealous!

Now that we are past that, and we have both come to terms that it’s pretty much been all about Christmas in the US since, November 1 (you know it has!), what better way to REALLY dive into the season then by decorating cookies? Cookies + Sprinkles + Eggnog = a good time. Add some friends, some Christmas classics on the radio and you will be having a great time.

This would also be a fun theme for a kid’s birthday party that happens to fall close to the holidays. I know if my birthday was around this time of the year I’d want to do this with all my friends. Though, I also think a snowman building party would be a blast too.

Let’s get to it, here’s what I’m thinking:

Apple Themed Fall Dinner Party

I had so much fun creating last week’s pumpkin inspired dinner party, I created another fabulous dinner party idea board for this week – but themed around apples! I was channeling a cool fall night, some close friends over….and thought about what would I want to have. I knew good food was a must (and these recipes have rave reviews!) with simple but pretty apple elements. Here’s what I had in mind:

Pumpkin Patch Birthday Party

Happy Wednesday!

Today I’ve got a fun party idea board to share with you. I originally envisioned a fall birthday party for kids, but I think a lot of these elements would be great at a school carnival or neighborhood block party. Between the cute pumpkin cupcakes to the pumpkin bowl games, kids could have a lot of fun just running around and enjoying the beautiful weather outside! If you wanted to take this event to the next level, I’ve shared this post with tons of ideas for hosting a pumpkin decorating party. Here’s what I was thinking:

Afterschool Midweek Treat – Candy Corn Themed

Happy October! And a happy Wednesday! It’s really a double treat today- it’s hump day (Friday is so close!) AND it’s the start of Fall, as far as I’m concerned.

So to celebrate, I thought it would be fun to throw a little midweek party. If I was a kid still in school, I would be surprised and so excited to come home and have a candy corn themed dinner.
