Spring Wedding at a Winery

I’m told that spring “officially” starts on March 20th, but I have a hard time with that date. You see, as a Floridian, our seasons, if we are even going to call them that, are limited, short lived – and rather sporadic. Spring is an occasional day that it’s in the 70’s. And I think so far this year, we are up to maybe 5 of those days, spread out and often followed by a week of low 80s. So the concept of spring, with its new life bringing and bright blossoming flowers, is a bit far-fetched sounding for this part of the world. Everything is always green here. Even when we are low on our rain quotas, the sun still shines and the palm trees just live on.

So to a native Floridian, the idea of spring is not so much the rebirth of nature. It’s more about savoring those few, previous days that bring slightly cooler temperatures, and lower humidity rates. Simple, easy, and yet so hard to come by. It’s a fairly well kept secret that Florida has a number of wineries in its growing wealth of attractions. Snagging one of the beautiful properties on a sunny spring day would make for a perfect wedding setting. Letting the natural green landscape that Florida provides be the highlight of the decor, with a few wine themed accents, and simple spring flower accents, you’ve got all the makings to a natural-elegance inspired outdoor wedding. Why not have a spring wedding at a winery?

Champagne, Metallic, and Pearl Wedding Ideas

One of the best sounds at a wedding is the sound of champagne glasses clinking. There’s always a light hearted laugh following and some sort of toasting happening in the background. Just thinking about that inspired today’s wedding inspiration board. I’ve envisioned lots of mixed metallic accents with just enough pearl decoration to bring a sense of sophistication to this wedding, without being too formal.
