Enchanted Evening Garden Party Ideas

Hello, whimsy! This week I am taking a step back away from modern or industrial event decor ideas, and sharing a classic enchanted evening garden party idea board. There are hundreds, probably thousands, of ideas on the internet that are all so magical and enchanted. I’ve picked just a few of my favorite to share with you this week. Given the fact that the options and ideas are limitless, I choose to hone in on elements that I believe to be must haves for any event. To me, these are the make or break elements that really bring your theme from concept to reality.

For example, if you were to throw an enchanted evening garden party, some of the most important elements would be the table decor and the fairy lights. Ideally, a themed invitation and entryway would be incorporated into your design, to help set the mood. And in today’s modern world, a magical photo backdrop to remember the evening by is a must.

A Wedding on a Snowy Winter Night

Imagine a cold winters night, while it’s gently snowing outside. That serene feeling of calmness, layered with the beauty of the dark night and fresh white snow. Towering branchy white trees above, and dimly light lamp posts nearby to mark your path. Twinkling stars above, and candle accents here and there. What you are envisioning is my take on a wedding on a snowy winter night. As you are imagining this, did your fantasy look develop into something with dark, deep blues and crisp whites? Mine certainly did.

The addition of lamp post accents in the escort cards, and in the area decor take this winter wedding to a more unique, one of a kind look. Having a lamp post is not the most traditional of decor choices, but certainly lends itself to this unique theme, and adds to the ambiance of the decor, especially if the event is held in a specialty tent with taller ceiling options. It’s crazy to think that the summer is just a few weeks away from being over, and even harder to think about how this time last year, I was designing a party idea board for a backyard movie party under the stars. With today being National S’more’s Day, I thought it would be appropriate to add a new party idea board to our growing collection of summertime celebration themes. Why not combine a movie night under the stars with a s’mores campfire session? Seems like the perfect way to say goodbye to summer.

Picture a magical evening wedding under the stars: twinkling lights draping down from a massive oak tree, suspended over the place where you and your loved ones are gathered to witness your wedding ceremony…..sparklers illuminate your reception, taking focus in your centerpieces, your cake, your send off, and even your photo opps. Magical Midsummer’s Night Wedding Ideas

“Fairy dust is like love, it creates magic whenever you give it away.” I found that quote on Pinterest the other day, as I was browsing some stunning centerpieces. It inspired me to create a magical midsummer’s night wedding idea board to share with you this week. There are oh so many takes on a midsummer’s night wedding out there, filled with over grown foliage and floral blooms. I’m sure you’ve seen them all if you spend more than 5 minutes a week on Pinterest. To add my interpretation of this popular wedding theme, I opted for an ever so slightly more modern take. Instead of having blooming flowers and green vines everywhere, I decided to incorporate more aged and woven vines. You’ll see in a number of the inspirational images there are rich dark vines, often shown woven into unique shapes. And no garden party is complete without an abundance of fairy lights! Combined, I think these elements make for a spectacular evening wedding and reception.
