The Beauty of Baby’s Breath at a Wedding

If the words “simple but elegant” describe your wedding aesthetic, then look no further then baby’s breath. This beautiful floral is just that. It can be incorporated into almost any facet of your wedding, is easy to work with, has a great price point, and more importantly: looks fantastic.

This week I decided to challenge myself to pick one flower type, and base an entire wedding around it. I wanted to choose something that I believe to be underused and underestimated. Baby’s breath fit the challenge!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, everything is red, pink and white wherever you look. Stores are covered in red candy boxes, flowers. Pink cards for your valentine are everywhere…you can’t escape it!

Today’s inspiration was to create a clean, modern, no frills geometric inspired wedding. Bright pops of color over basic white elements are what make this design  so chic and modern.

When I was getting this week’s inspiration board ready to share with you, I ran into some trouble.

I KNEW I wanted to share an inspiration board with mint green, white, and light gold’s. Naturally, the first thing that came to my mind was a wedding, because I love wedding design. But as I was working on the inspiration board more and more, I knew this week’s post could be for more than just weddings.

I’ve been envisioning spring baby showers, perhaps an afternoon luncheon or even a birthday party with aspects of this week’s inspiration. Maybe even a bridal shower party?

Is your new year going by lightning fast? I cannot believe we are already nearly in February!

Spring is just around the corner, and you know what that means….wedding season!

In honor of spring, or the beginning of what I would consider Florida’s spring, I’m sharing an inspiration board perfect for the modern spring bride.

White and gold are always classic together, but with a touch of crystals and lots of fresh pastel floral, this combination is absolutely breathtaking and elegant. Let’s have a look shall we:

Black + White +Damask Engagement Party Ideas

Remember this cute Halloween costume party I shared a few weeks ago?

I really loved the silhouette accents. I thought for a costume party, silhouettes would be fantastic because they would be adorable décor, but would also not take away from the decked out, dressed up guests. Win-win.

But I got to thinking; you know who else would probably appreciate a party like this? Engaged couples! Think about it, they are there to celebrate their engagement with family and friends, but they still want a festive and decorated vibe.

For this week’s inspiration board, I went with black and white damask print, with silhouette accents.

Orange, Grey and White Wedding

Light, fresh, and modern. Those were the words that I had going through my mind when I created this inspiration board.

I love the floral accents throughout the wedding design. At one point I thought about substituting silver instead of a matte regular grey, but I really grey is the best choice to go with. The silver just gives it a very heavy feeling, wouldn’t you agree?
