Rustic Spring Baby Shower Ideas

When I first started sharing my weekly idea and inspiration board for themed parties, Pinterest was just starting to get momentum. It was being constantly flooded with the newest party concept and design. Every possible party rendition seemed to be shared. Maybe it was just who I was following, or what group boards infiltrated my feed more at the time, but it sure seemed like baby showers were pinned and shared way more than they used to be. There was so much content being shared, I was inspired on more than a few occasions to create a themed baby shower idea board, (you can see all of my party idea boards dedicated specifically to baby showers HERE). Maybe it’s because what people are pinning and sharing has changed, or maybe my feed has been curated in a different focus, but I just don’t feel like I see a lot of baby shower content anymore.

Of all the images in this week’s rustic spring baby shower idea board, you’d probably never guess which image inspired the post. Believe it or not, it was actually the bird’s nest tablescape. There was something so fresh, but with a rustic twist, that caught my eye. If you stop by my main site, A Sparkly Life for Me, you can follow along on my journey as I try to create at least one beautiful home tablescape a month.  I mention this because I have been increasingly more aware of the details of the many centerpieces and table decor concepts I have been pinning on Pinterest, trying to gleam elements that could scale to be used on my own home table decor.

This week, the concept in my head was to create a rustic baby shower, perfect for the spring time, with hints of new life scattered in the baby bunny tails, and bird eggs thoughtfully placed throughout the decor. Here’s what I had in mind:

Rustic Fir Tree Farm Christmas Wedding

Have you ever visited a tree farm before? Had the chance to see where Christmas trees are grown? When I think of what it would be like to visit a Christmas tree farm in the winter, I seem to instantly get warm flurries in my head about how magical and inviting it must be. Why not harness that magical feeling to create a rustic Christmas wedding on a fir tree farm?

With its natural rustic winter ambiance, you’re already half way there to creating a memorable wedding that no ballroom can compete with. It takes just a few more elements to complete this design and turn it into a cohesive wedding theme. For this concept, lots of natural greens with burlap accents is key. Simplicity rules in this design, with no fuss, and a focus on the natural beauty that the growing fir trees have to offer.

If the couple (or planners – this would be an unexpected but fantastic corporate themed holiday party too) felt so inclined to be more environmentally friendly, there are a number of options available. Having the paper elements printed on recycled paper, gifting guests seedlings to take and plant somewhere, even offering to have guests give donations to the tree farm instead of gifts, the list can go on.

Here’s what I had in mind for this rustic fir tree farm Christmas wedding idea board:

A Rustic Foodie’s Dessert Party – Fall Edition {with salted caramel and lace}

On most days, I would not consider my style anywhere along the descriptive terms: chic, country, or rustic.

But this week I make an exception for that. This week I am sharing with you my idea of a rustic, foodie’s dessert party. A party that is farm-to-table fresh, cooked and prepared with love, and boasts great company and delicious wine. I love the emphasis of salted caramel desserts lining a lace and burlap table, allowing guests to graze on delicious treats as they mingle with other attendees. The only thing that’s missing would be a handful of accent candle lights, in mason jars, of course, scattered around.

Keep in mind as you are enjoying this party idea board, that this set of inspirational images could easily translate to a birthday party theme, or even a wedding.
